Meet Ryan Wagner

Ryan Wagner is a trial team leader at Armstrong Lee & Baker. He handles cases involving wrongful deaths, amputations, fractures, traumatic brain injuries, and severe burns. Throughout his time at the firm, he has served as lead counsel in cases resulting in tens of millions of dollars recovered for injured clients. Ryan’s aggressive approach has earned the trust of lawyers—including opposing counsel—who refer their badly injured clients and loved ones to the firm.

Ryan’s favorite part about his job is taking cases to trial. Within three days of becoming licensed in Texas, he went to trial and secured a jury verdict that was five times higher than the Defendant’s pre-trial offer. Since then, Ryan has tried multiple cases to final verdict or award.

Ryan does not back down from challenging cases—he embraces them. Some of Ryan’s results as lead counsel are as follows:

• $3,925,000 in a slip-and-fall case;
• $3,000,000 in a commercial motor vehicle collision case;
• $2,500,000 in a nonsubscriber case;
• $1,350,000 in a commercial motor vehicle collision case;
• $1,250,000 in a nonsubscriber case; and
• $1,000,000 in a burn case.

Ryan graduated from the University of Houston Law Center where he was on the Dean’s list every year, he competed as an advocate on the renowned UHLC Interscholastic Mock Trial Team, worked as a Notes & Comments Editor on the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy, and he served as a Presenter of the University of Houston Law Center’s Honor Board.

Although Ryan is licensed in the state of Texas, his practice spans nationwide, representing clients in state and federal courts across the country. His areas of expertise include catastrophic personal injury, non-subscriber workplace injuries, maritime and offshore law, premises liability, product liability, and wrongful death.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and attending University of Texas football games with his father..
