Meet Hannah Bowersmith

Hannah graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, Hannah was inducted into the Order of the Barristers due to her success as a member of the high ranking UHLC National Mock Trial Team. Hannah received coaching and mentorship from dozens of talented attorneys who helped her develop and improve her advocacy skills.

During her time on the team, Hannah won the All-Star Bracket Challenge Regional Competition, received Overall Best Advocate in the Bayou Challenge, and competed internationally at the Cross Examination Moot in Paris taking first place in the preliminary rounds and finishing as a quarterfinalist.

After graduating law school, Hannah competed in one last young lawyer mock trial competition, the Battle of the Bayou, taking first place and earning awards for both Outstanding Cross Examination and Overall Outstanding Advocate.

As a law student, Hannah also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Christine Weems of the 281st Judicial District Court and the Honorable Tanya Garrison of the 157th Judicial District Court in Harris County, Texas. During her time as a judicial intern, Hannah observed numerous hearings and trials while gaining insight into the way judges view attorneys and their arguments.

Hannah’s favorite part about being a trial lawyer is zealously advocating for her clients throughout every stage of the case. She has seen firsthand how companies can take advantage of people during some of the most emotionally and financially challenging times of their lives. Hannah’s commitment to justice and dedication to bettering the lives of her clients is what drives her to achieve the results her clients deserve.

Hannah grew up in Discovery Bay, California before moving to Houston, Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants in Houston, spending time with her dogs, reading a good book, and traveling.
