Candice L. Schwager is an experienced civil litigator and a dedicated family and probate attorney, with a passion for helping others navigate complex legal challenges. Candice earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 1997. During her legal studies, she demonstrated a keen intellect and a commitment to academic rigor by serving as an Assistant Case Note and Comment Editor for the esteemed South Texas Law Review, brief writer for South Texas Law’s Varsity Moot Court, judicial intern with the First Court of Appeals of Texas, and research & writing assistant to Professor W. David East: The Statute of Frauds and the Parol Evidence Rule under the NCCUSL 2000 Annual Meeting Proposed Revision of U.C.C. Article 2, 54 SMU L. Rev. 867 (2001)
Prior to joining Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP, Candice practiced family, probate and toxic tort law. Through pro bono work with Attorneys for Special Needs Children and ElderLaw Advocates, Candice has a 20-year history of awards from the Texas State Bar Pro Bono College for the provision of pro bono and reduced fee services to low income Texans.
