Laura graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and obtained her Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Houston Law Center. In law school, Laura served as a Senior Articles Editor for the Houston Law Review. She was inducted into the Order of the Barristers due to her successes as a member of the renowned UHLC National Mock Trial Team, which included winning the first Tex-ABOTA Showdown Trial Advocacy Competition and receiving its overall Best Advocate award. As a law student, Laura also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Vanessa Gilmore and Alfred H. Bennett of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Christine Weems of the 281st Judicial District Court in Harris County, Texas.
Laura tirelessly applies her effort and abilities on behalf of the firm’s clients, who are often facing an uncertain future due to severe injuries. Her practice is dedicated to making their lives better by holding accountable those who are responsible.
Prior to joining Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP, Laura represented corporations and insurance companies in employment and personal injury matters. A daughter of immigrants, she also has experience in the practice of immigration family reunification. Her academic and past experiences undoubtedly prepared her to be an effective advocate for her clients throughout all stages of litigation.
Laura is licensed in the State of Texas and the State of California. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants and recipes, traveling, and sewing. She is a native Spanish speaker.
