Meet Matthew Franks

Matthew is an experienced attorney who has successfully fought some of the largest corporations, railroads, and trucking companies across the nation. Before joining Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP, Matthew spent several years working for a prominent law firm in the Houston area. There, his practice was devoted 100% to personal injury and involved cases such as motor vehicle collisions, industrial accidents, premises defects, and wrongful death. Matthew has won millions of dollars for his clients in the state of Texas and throughout the country. He takes a client-centered approach and is a strong believer that everyone deserves impassioned advocacy. His successful outcomes have made him a member of both the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which encompasses less than 1% of all attorneys. His dedication to his clients reflects his belief in justice and passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those he represents. He won his first multi-day jury trial against one of the largest insurance companies in Texas just three weeks after successfully passing the Texas Bar Examination and being sworn in as an attorney.

Matthew graduated from the University of Illinois before attending South Texas College of Law Houston. There, he graduated in the top of his class, participated in mock trial tournaments, earned a CALI Excellence for the Future award, and was president of a student organization. He has successfully passed both the Texas and Illinois State Bar Exams. He is an active member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

Outside of the office, Matthew is continuously working to challenge himself both physically and mentally. He is an avid fitness enthusiast, and has run multiple marathons, including the Houston Marathon and New York City Marathon.
