His courtroom success earned him recognition from TopVerdict for securing one of the 10 largest verdicts in Texas in 2021, as well as one of the 10 largest premises liability verdicts in the United States that same year. During law school, Taylor earned four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards (for achieving the highest grade in a course) including in Copyright Law, Advanced Property, and for writing two seminar papersโone on pharmaceutical patent law and another on First Amendment protections on college campuses. He was named to the Deanโs Honor List four times and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honor society.
Taylor began his legal career clerking at a firm specializing in eminent domain and personal injury law. He later joined the oldest personal injury firm in Texas, where he made history as the first attorney in the firmโs 70+ year history to be promoted from contract attorney to full associate.
A native Houstonian, Taylor graduated from Memorial High School and earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Texas Christian University. While at TCU, he was elected pledge captain of Beta Upsilon Chi, the universityโs largest fraternity.
