According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), in 2024 there were 1,053 people killed in motor vehicle crashes involving alcohol-impaired drivers in Texas — more than 25% of all traffic fatalities that year. While this data reflects the year as a whole, safety advocates highlight that special events like Super Bowl Sunday can elevate the risk. How the Free Rides Program Works
The program is easy to use:

• If you will be celebrating and drinking on Super Bowl Sunday, take an Uber, Lyft, or cab ride home.
• Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP will reimburse you up to $35 toward your ride.

Eligibility & Details
To qualify for reimbursement:

• Rides must be taken in the greater Houston area.
• Travel must occur between 5:00 PM on Super Bowl Sunday and 10:00 AM the next morning.
• You must be 21 years or older.
• Reimbursement applies to one one‑way ride to a safe destination.
• There is a limit of one reimbursement per person.
• Maximum reimbursement is $35, including up to a 10% tip.
• Participation is limited to the first 30 submissions received for Super Bowl Sunday.

How and When to Submit
To receive reimbursement:

1. Take your ride with Uber, Lyft, or a local cab service on Super Bowl Sunday.
2. Save your ride receipt and a copy of your photo ID.
3. Submit both through the firm’s online form.

Reimbursements will be processed within 10 business days of submission.
